Had dinner one night with Kim after quite a long while not having seen her. Too bad Evon and LY couldn't join us as they've had prior plans made already. Without a clue where to eat, Kim suggested trying Lebanese food at Tarbush in Sunway Pyramid. I don't think i've actually eaten Lebanese food before...only Arabian at
Al Nafourah in Le Meridien Hotel, KL. Here was my previous post on
Al Nafourah Restaurant.
Tarbush Restaurant in Sunway Pyramid is located on LG2 at the Marrakesh area. Had some trouble finding it as i wasn't familiar with the mall and didn't realise that there were retail lots behind the ones along the main corridors. Anyways, as i walked in, i was taken in by the interior decor. Very Middle Eastern indeed. Hehe. We were shown to a table for two in between two rather large pillars, which gave us a lot of privacy. The heavy wooden square table tops were decorated with mosaic tiles. And Kim was seated on a plush wooden arm chair whilst i was on a very nice setee. Definitely comfy. ;)
A rather nice selection from their menu which took us quite a while to decide as there were so many items that i was salivating over. Anyways, we decided on a hommus appetizer and a grilled chicken for our main. We shared as we weren't that hungry and of course, we were trying not to overeat as well. :P
Left: Mocha float and fresh carrot juice, Right: Our starter
Left: Tarbush hommus, Right: Salad

Our shared main - Maklouba chicken
Food was good. Definitely would love to return to try the other dishes like the lamb cubes kebab. *drool* Prices are average as well. Not over the top like fine dining places. Definitely a romantic ambience to put anyone in the mood. *grins* Anyways, Kim decided to spend us as i wouldn't let her pay for the peanut butter cookies i made her. So, thank you very much again, Kim! :)
